His rich experience, extending from managing his family's hydroelectric business and farm operations, has earned him accolades such as Entrepreneur of the Year in Halton Hills. Specializing in developing and operating significant solar, energy storage, and hydroelectric projects across North America, Mike excels in integrating renewable solutions into various sectors.

His innovative work in agrivoltaics, which synergizes solar energy with agriculture, reflects his commitment to sustainable energy transition. Mike holds a Combined Honours BA from Huron University College and professional certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Financial Modeling and Valuation (FMV). He actively contributes to community and environmental initiatives through mentorship and advisory roles, leading organizations like Agrivoltaics Canada and the Solar and Sustainable Energy Society of Canada. Mike's efforts in projects like "A Reimagined Future of Food Security and Climate Resiliency" underscore his dedication to uniting renewable energy and agricultural practices for a sustainable future.

  A seasoned entrepreneur with a deep commitment to sustainability, Patrick has dedicated his career to finding and implementing triple bottom line solutions – those that benefit people, the planet, and profits. His journey in the renewable energy sector began in South Africa, where he established a company focused on addressing the energy crisis. This experience honed his skills and passion for creating impactful energy solutions, leading him back to Canada to contribute to the country’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

At the heart of Patrick’s work is his belief in solutions that serve all stakeholders. This guiding principle is evident in his enthusiasm for agrivoltaics, an innovative approach that harmonizes solar energy with agriculture, creating multiple layers of value. Under his leadership at First Green Energy and through his involvement with Agrivoltaics Canada, Patrick is a pivotal figure in driving sustainable energy initiatives that also bolster economic and social growth.

Patrick’s international experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects is extensive. From 2012 to 2018, he led a renewable energy and energy efficiency company in South Africa, developing tailored solutions for the built environment. His business ventures, driven by a strong environmental and social purpose, have centered around alternative energy and impact investment opportunities.

With a keen understanding of the interconnectedness between humanity and nature, Patrick is not just a business leader but also an 'on-the-ground' force for positive change. His commitment to creating a brighter, more sustainable future resonates throughout his professional endeavors, making him a leading voice in the sustainable energy industry.

Justin is a Partner at First Green Energy Ltd., where he is primarily responsible for leading development activity. Previously, he had been instrumental in establishing and expanding the international footprint of a globally recognized developer. Before expanding internationally , Justin founded and led the development, construction, and financing efforts for a solar development company in Canada. His entrepreneurial journey began with founding a rooftop solar development company in Ontario in 2007, following a career in private equity.

Justin holds a BSc. from McGill University, specializing in Biology, Technological Entrepreneurship, and Biotechnology.

Rayne is a Project Coordinator at First Green Energy Ltd., where she leads project development and contract support with a strong focus on policy, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance. She brings expertise in public policy and Indigenous research, holding a Master’s in Public Policy from Carleton University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Algoma University.

Rayne’s background includes Canadian-Indigenous policy work with RCAANC-CIRNAC and public service experience at the Canada Border Services Agency. At First Green Energy, she drives project management, stakeholder engagement, and policy alignment for solar-integrated agricultural practices, supporting sustainability and social equity.
